The deep basin cast iron sink provides a convenient area to clean up when the entertaining is over.
This project features the much needed complete kitchen renovation of a 1950’s ranch home in the heart of Cary, NC. When describing this kitchen remodeling project, the simple task was to replace everything, but as part of a Whole Home Renovation, our design team had to take a budget friendly approach in creating this room. We began by installing semi-custom shaker style cabinetry and installed granite countertops. The stainless steel appliances complete with gas cooktop ensured that any cook would have the modern conveniences necessary to create any meal. The floor selection was made to install hard porcelain tiles and with concerns of grout staining in mind, we applied epoxy grout to eliminate concerns. In all, the simplicity of this kitchen mixed with a clever selection of colors make this kitchen a beautiful place to spend time.
This kitchen renovation in the prestigous MacGregor Downs community of Cary, NC featured a complete remodel of the main entertaining area of the home. The project began by creating a beautiful flowing layout with many seating areas. The selection to blend stained and painted custom cabinetry was critical to ensuring that our homeowners received their dream kitchen. Quartz countertops were installed to provide harmonious color and a low maintenance surface. Stainless steel appliances complete with built in refrigerator, gas cooktop, and beverage refrigerator were installed to ensure that these home cooks had all of the modern conveniences to prepare family meals. Windows were enlarged over the sink area to allow more natural light into the home and improve the views overlooking the beautifully landscaped lawn and golf course. Tile flooring was removed and prefinished oak hardwoods stretch between the kitchen and family room to seamlessly join the two spaces. Lighting layout was also very important to ensure that the kitchen and family room were properly lit. Heavy wainscotting moulding details were applied to finish the meticulous details of the rooms. We are very proud to work with these homeowners to help create the kitchen of their dreams.
This home in Holly Springs, NC had a small kitchen that any home chef would find difficult to cook in. The goal, to provide additional space when hosting family gatherings as well as to improve the flow within the kitchen & add a walk in pantry. The solution, a complete kitchen renovation by way of creating a modest addition to get the well needed space. The CORE design team worked with the homeowners to create an elegant and sophisticated design that resulted in a simply beautiful kitchen. During the construction phase, walls were also able to be removed which enabled the family room to become a part of the kitchen. Specific design elements in the kitchen include semi custom cabinetry, granite countertops, stone and glass backsplash with a detailed mosaic pattern over the gas range, and heavy moulding details throughout. Custom wall coverings and hand blown glass lighting fixtures complete the classy elements in this inviting heart of the home.
This Cary, NC renovation is a spectacle of modern kitchen remodeling. Our design team began by consulting with our clients on how we can maintain the existing cabinets while transforming the space and fix areas that did not work. The construction process began by electing to keep the exisitng custom cherry wood cabinetry and reface them with new glazed door and drawer fronts complete with soft close hinges. Modifications to the island cabinetry were made to increase the dimensions to make it a larger area to entertain family and friends. Mouldings were also applied to the cabinetry to create a sophisticated look to the cabinetry as well as conceal the under cabinet & over cabinet lighting accents. The countertops were replaced with exotic granite and the island features a double tier edge to create a bold statement. ‘Silgranit’ sinks were carefully selected for color matching the granite countertops and durability. A patterned glass backsplash decorates the walls atop the countertops. All of the appliances were replaced with state of the art dual convection ovens, gas cooktop with downdraft system. We are very pleased with this 1990’s kitchen transformation.

This Chapel Hill kitchen renovation is the simplest of renovations for achieving the most bang for the buck. With a short term resale in mind, these clients approached CORE with the idea of changing their dated space with a simple face lift while reusing the existing cabinets that were in great shape. After careful consideration, our clients elected to allow us to refinish the old stained cabinetry and paint them. Countertops were replaced using white ‘Silestone’ tops. New appliances were installed throughout. The backsplash was installed using travertine stone. Finally, the room was repainted to harmonize the renovation. The result enabled our clients to sell the home the following year with ease.
